Claire Corstorphine is an independent Scottish designer who creates textile accessories for people who love nature, colour and playful prints.
Being surrounded by the beautiful Fife countryside and its rugged coastline, Claire’s work is inspired by the colour and diversity of the natural world and features vibrant imagery of flora and fauna; often with an unexpected twist!
Specialising in digitally printed textiles, Claire creates her quirky designs for print lovers of all ages; combining both modern and traditional techniques. Claire’s contemporary silk scarves feature lively graphic imagery and are painstakingly sewn by hand, with care and precision going into every stitch.
It is important to Claire to source her materials and manufacturing processes as locally as possible and all textile products are proudly designed, printed and sewn in Scotland. This attention to detail, craftsmanship and celebration of heritage can be seen throughout her products and in 2013 Claire was shortlisted as a finalist in the Scotland Re: Designed New Talent Competition.
Claire’s ambition is continue producing uplifting designs which stand the test of time, as well as rejuvenating the traditional image of Scottish design with an injection of colour and playfulness!
